Popis: | The purpose of this study was to investigate the problem of cervical spinal surgery for cervical spondylotic myelopathy of aged patients.Surgery of cervical spondylotic myelopathy for aged patients was effective, although, the postoperative results of aged patients were inferior to that of young patients. Postoperative results of aged patients were influenced by the duration from onset and the severity of myelopathy.The problems of cervical spinal surgery for aged patients included the diagnosis, the pre and postoperative complications, the indication of surgery, the selection of proper operative method and so on. Both the selection of the proper operative method and the prevention of pre and postoperative complications leading to early rehabilitation were responsible in obtaining good results. |
