Popis: | Plant based and animal based fiber reinforced composites are being used now-a-days for various structural and non-structural applications. The plant and animal based fibers generally vary the properties with respect to many factors. Mostly, the mechanical properties depends majorly on the parameters like matrix, fillers, fiber contents, fibers treatment and fabrication procedures. Moreover, there are many other applications based on influencing parameters which can significantly alter the mechanical properties. The evaluation of the strength and characterization of the developed composites are being carried out before considering for any structural and non-structural applications. The present review paper intends to study the influencing factors which mostly affect the mechanical properties of the natural fiber reinforced composites as these properties are directly related to the structural and non structural applications. The procedures for improving the mechanical properties of the plant based fibers are also talked about in the present work. |
