As a consequence of the increasing complexity of electronic circuits, particularly the integrated circuits, the necessity arose to use the digital computer in analyzing networks. Besides resistors and capacitors, transistors and diodes are frequently used. This chapter presents a very simple model of a transistor. It also presents a few basic concepts, assuming that the conversion to the model has already occurred. The NA-matrix (nodal analysis) is the matrix created in the node method. Each network element influences the elements of the NA-matrix. The conductor of 4 S occurs four times in the NA-matrix. This conductance prints its stamp on the NA-matrix. Three of the four transactors cause difficulties. In these cases, the MNA-matrix (modified nodal analysis) is used instead of the NA-matrix. In this method, one or more unknown currents are also solved in addition to the node voltages. These currents are, therefore, also written in the left-hand part of the matrix. |
