Popis: | Titanium matrix composites have a great application potential in automotive, aerospace and other elevated temperature engineering applications as a replacement of already existing traditional materials due to their high strength-to-weight ratio as less weight means less fuel consumption and excellent corrosion resistance. The reinforcement of monolithic Ti alloys with particulate and fiber-based fillers involving SiC, carbon fiber and CNT could enhance their mechanical, thermal and physical properties, thereby making them fit for aerospace, automotive and industrial applications. |
