Popis: Ruthenafurans [R[graphic omitted]H}ClL2](L = PMe2Ph, R = CHCHOEt, CHCHCMe3, Me or Ph; L = PMe3, R = CHCHOEt or CHCHPh) can be formed reversibly from [Ru(CO)2RClL2] and EtOCCH: the rate-determining forward step involves the formation of the intermediate [Ru(CO)(COR)ClL2], which can be trapped when the reverse reaction occurs in the presence of Me3CNC.
