Popis:	1. It is shown that 20,000 r of mixed X rays have no effect upon the activities of preparations of lactose, glucose and citrate dehydrogenases. 2. It is shown that a similar dose of γ rays slightly inhibits the activity of a preparation of succinate dehydrogenase. 3. It is concluded that the biological effects of X rays are in all probability not caused by a primary action upon the enzymes of respiration.
