Popis: | We have studied adsorption hysteresis in the system multilayer methane adsorbed on graphite foam by measuring heat capacities on each branch of the hysteresis curve. We are able to show that, on the stable branch, capillary condensation begins, surprisingly, at 1.1 layers. These observations call into question previous conclusions about this and other multilayer adsorbed systems. |
