| Popis: | This article presents a survey of tourism consumption based on approximately 41 000 interviews carried out in 1996–1997. The results from the survey are incorporated in a multiregional input–output model for Denmark which examines the economic impact of tourism. Both foreign and domestic tourism from one Danish region to another is quantified. The tourists' region of accommodation and their region of consumption are distinguished, which gives us the opportunity to measure the importance of sites that can attract tourists who have accommodation in another region.
