Popis: | Bradyarrhythmias are a significant cause of syncope and are occasional causes of heart failure in dogs and rarely cause signs of lethargy and syncope in cats. These arrhythmias may be sustained or paroxysmal and frequently occur in the absence of any clinically identifiable structural heart disease. Sick sinus syndrome and third degree atrioventricular block are the two most common clinically significant bradyarrhythmias of dogs. These arrhythmias are frequently attributed to degeneration and fibrosis of the sinoatrial (SA) and atrioventricular (AV) nodes either in isolation, or as part of a more generalized myocardial disease. |
