Popis: The exploitation of Bouteldja dune groundwater aquifer has resulted in a decrease of water table and intrusion of seawater that was felt essentially in seashore areas (eg area of Salines). Artificial recharge is the main mean to support and recover the water table in an area where drilling is concentrated, as it is in the area of Borj Ali Bey, in a period of high demand. The idea is to fill with water the Black Lake (Garaat Ez Zerga) in summer, when it is dry, and Garaat Bordj Ali Bey, during dry periods from the treated water of the Mexa dam. The Garaat Bordj Ali Bey zone was filled in the past. A flow model was established to evaluate quantitatively the response of the recharge of the aquifer in the region of Bordj Ali Bey. The results show a significant improvement in the flow situation of the aquifer and a compensation of the discharges by water recharge. It is important to know that the feasibility of such project needs to preserve the quality of the groundwater which is considered excellent. For this purpose a hydro- dispersive model was established from survey data to evaluate the hydrochemical quality and to visualize the evolution and extension of the concentration of the recharged water through the aquifer and its impact on the exploitation of the aquifer.
