Popis: Coupling mode theory is adopted in the single-mode step-index optical fiber based on the three-layer modal in the application of long-period fiber grating. This paper is focused on the regularity for the change of effective refractive index core fundamental modes and cladding modes with the wavelength, analysis of the character of the coupling constant between cladding mode in different number of the first order and the core mode by numerical simulation. It can provide theoretical reference for the structure parameters design of the long-period fiber grating.
