Popis: By scanning the first breaks picks in a range of CDPs for apparent velocity and intercept time, the velocity and depth for weathering and refracting layers can be estimated based on a local constant layer assumption. By repeating this process for all CDP ranges, a first order approximation of the 2D/3D velocity model can be built. This method provides an alternative way to solve for one of the primary unknowns in refraction static process.
