Popis: | The use of hemiarthroplasty for the treatment of various shoulder pathologies, including arthritis and proximal humeral fractures, is high, despite a high failure rate. The most common causes for hemiarthroplasty failure are glenoid erosion, component instability, and rotator cuff insufficiency and, in a fracture setting, tuberosity malposition. Treatment of a failed hemiarthroplasty is generally to either an anatomic or reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. |
