Popis: | The assumption of the study of consciousness disorders was to un derstand how the nervous system maintains the waking status and relationship life. Besides the state of coma, other serious situations may also occur. Therewith, the aim of this paper – part 3 of 3 – is to present the major findings concerning physical examination, as well as their functional connections and the neurobiological bases, and the syndrome of captivity. Each of these disorders has specific character istics distinguishing them, passing by the complete absence of consciousness during clinical examination – vegetative state – the perfect state of consciousness found in the locked-in syndrome. |
