| Popis: | A seven-year old Caucasian girl with Friedreich's ataxia, cerebral thromboembolism, possible repeated myocardial infarctions and severe cardiac involvement is presented. The father and a paternal uncle both died of myocardial infarction at an early age. Persistent elevation of LDH isoenzyme 5 following angina-like attacks is reported for the first time in Friedreich's ataxia and suggests continuing damage to the myocardium. |
