Popis: | The possibility of using PAN as a reagent for the substoichiometric determination of nickel and manganese has been investigated. Nickel forms a 1∶1 red colour and manganese a 1∶2 wine red colour complex with PAN, which are extractable into chloroform at pH 5.5 and 9.1, respectively. Tens of micrograms of Ni/II/ and Mn/II/ were determined with an accuracy 0.5% and ±0.2%, respectively. The effect of various metal ions was also studied. |
