Popis:	1. 1. Carbohydrate oxidase, an enzyme which catalyzes the oxidation of d-glucose, d-xylose, l-sorbose and δ-gluconolactone, thereby liberating H2O2, was isolated from the mycelium of the Basidiomycete Polyporus obtusus. 2. 2. The enzyme was purified by fractional precipitation with polyethylene glycol and by acid precipitation. 3. 3. Data are presented which indicate that the one enzyme acts upon all four of the carbohydrate substrates.
