Popis:	Crested wheatgrass (Agropyron cristatum) on three Chernozemic soil sites was fall fertilized once with 0, 25, 50 and 100 kg N ha−1 and harvested for 7 yr. Yield and yield response of crested wheatgrass to nitrogen were greater on the two moister sites and in the second and third (wettest) years. Low yield response on the driest site was likely due to a history of drought and phosphorus deficiency.Key words: Dry matter yield, crested wheatgrass, Agropyron cristatum, Chenozems, nitrogen fertilization, climatic moisture balance.
