This paper proposes a discussion on the character of New institutionalist economics Instititucional (NIS). The elements that the school has been the object of this study, assessing whether they are aligned with the precepts of the original institutionalism. To do so, we performed a brief review of existing literature on the subject, both in view of the NIS as the old institutionalism. Based on this theoretical framework, we sought to emphasize the consensus points and differences in the approaches of the respective schools, so that you can answer the central question here proposed, namely, whether or not the NIS is institutionalist. |
