Preparation of homogeneous mixed oxides by spray pyrolysis

Popis: The influence of zinc salt on the nature of ZnO powders prepared by spray pyrolysis has been studied. Powders with a wide variety in the state of aggregation of the particles can be obtained by selecting the type and concentration of the salt. Doping with cobalt results in homogeneous ZnCo mixed oxides to a 1 μm level. At atomic ratios of ZnCo higher than 50%, CoO is stabilized along with the ZnO particles, but at lower ZnCo atomic ratios the low temperature stable phase, Co3O4, is formed.
