Popis: | Ten-millimeter tadpoles of the leopard frog (Rana pipiens) were subjected to urethane (ethyl carbamate) in concentrations of 11 mM. (0.10%) and 28 mM. (0.25%) for 18 days. Microscopic examination of sections of these tadpoles revealed a vascular distension of the postcardinal sinuses of the pronephros, the sinusoids of the liver, and the capillaries of the internal gills. A method is described for the quantitative expression of this vasodilatation. |
