According to the Japan Coast Guard, marine accidents involving over 2,000 vessels have occurred annually, and approximately 30% of these are collision accidents. Presumably, approximately 92% of collision accidents' causes are human factors. We classified the causal factor termed 'gprimary cause by human error' into ten items. As a result of analyzing the dangerous case that we experienced and investigating the causal factor of error, the problem of 'gbelief' was revealed. (In this paper, belief says what there is no rational basis or what is the thing that is believed based on the wrong basis, and is a meaning near assumption.) Furthermore, 130 marine collision accidents were investigated, overwhelmingly, 'gbelief' was a causal factor. As a countermeasure against a 'gbelief' as a causal factor of error, we proposed training that aimed at acquisition of critical thinking. |
