Popis: Ultrasonic levitation techniques have been developed as a promising tool for drug delivery in the human body as an acoustic wave led to manipulating and translating a single object or objects through air and water. The single-beam acoustic tweezer (SBAT) has a definitive advantage over other acoustic tweezer methods because it only employs a one-sided ultrasound. In this study, we elucidated that the SBAT could levitate red blood cell (RBC) aggregation with strong lateral trapping forces. This work offers a significant step forward in the three-dimensional manipulation of cell aggregates and aids to control and maneuver cells for future in vivo.
