Popis:	The magnesium salt of (S)-isomer of omeprazole, with a trade name of Nexium, is the first proton-pump inhibitor developed as a single isomer for the treatment of acid-related diseases. A process for the preparation of the optically pure (S)-isomer of omeprazole through transition metal complex is described.
