Popis: | Cross-functional work teaming has been around for decades. But only with modern communication technology have come virtual cross-functional teams—those separated by space, and usually also time. At Hewlett-Packard, such virtual teams—ultimately linked into a cross-team set of 200 people—developed and launched a sophisticated medical care system that was not only commercially successful, but cut the normal R&D time in half. Along the way, they learned many ways to optimize the effectiveness of such teams. © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. |
