Popis: | In this technical brief, we have discussed some of the important characteristics of A/D converters that impact the quality of acquired data. Range and resolution, coupled with the appropriate gain, can minimize the effects of sampling on a data set. We have also commented on some other considerations when selecting a data acquisition board, such specifications as the settling time and the differential non-linearity. There are other specifications that influence the performance of A/D boards and should be reviewed before selecting a board for your application. Numerous tutorials are available from many manufacturers and on various websites. References 2–4 are recommended for additional information. |
