Possible ways for increasing the strength characteristics and volumetric piezo-parameters of composite materials with the 2–2-type connectivity due to a change in the type of their active elements are discussed. It is shown that the transition from the active element in the form of dense ceramic plates to the active element in the form of a thin porous piezoceramic enables us to shift the maximum values of the volumetric piezo-parameters of composite materials towards the larger volume fractions of the active elements in the system. In addition, these changes also promote an increase of the maximum achievable volumetric piezo-parameters values and mechanical strength of the samples. |
