Popis:	1. Some polyesters formed by diethylene glycol, triethylene glycol, and 1,2-propanediol with dicarboxylic acids have been prepared. 2. The effect of the structures of the starting substances on the melting points and solubilities of the resulting polyesters has been discussed. 3. It has been shown that the introduction of a methyl side group into a polyester molecule produces an effect similar to that of the introduction of three or four ether linkages, the crystallinity of the polymer being greatly reduced, its melting point lowered, and its solubility raised.
