Pharmacopuncture is a traditional medicine treatment combining acupuncture and herbal medicines that originated in China and has been actively studied since the 1960s. Recently, various herbal extracts for use in it have been developed and used effectively for various diseases. Currently, it is widely used as one of the major treatment techniques in Korea. However, compared to its effectiveness, studies on its safety are poor. Therefore, we review all kinds of clinical studies to investigate the incidence and characteristics of AEs associated with Pharmacopuncture treatment in Korea and assess the safety of Pharmacopuncture. This pre-registration is for its protocol. |
