Popis: | The gradual increase of industrialization and population increases the usage of fresh water. This causes shrinkage of fresh water as well as increase the contamination in water. Therefore, water treatment become one of the most significant concerns of human attention. Flocculation is one of the promising approaches for water treatment. Polysaccharides have potential to be modified as flocculants. In this review, various methodologies to develop functionalized polysaccharide-based flocculants, different modes of flocculation mechanisms as well as the application in flocculation have been discussed in details. |
