Features of the geometric characteristics of fine-module ratchet teeth necessitates the use of cutting tools with special geometry of cutting edges for their manufacture. The article describes the method of shaping the cutting edges of two types of tools used to cut fine-module ratchet teeth on cylindrical surfaces by the generating method - cutter and rack-type cutter. It is shown that the calculated theoretical profile of the front and back edges of the cutting teeth can be approximated by rectilinear surfaces. Moreover, the deviations of the actual profile from the theoretical one are insignificant: 0.2–0.4% for the cutter and 0.3–0.4% for the rack-type cutter. Examples of calculating the geometric parameters of the cutter and the rack-type cutter for cutting ratchet teeth with 0.5 mm module are given. |
