This chapter intends to explain the effects of polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) molecules on the properties of the different polymer blends by different preparation methods in the literature. POSS-polymer hybrids have been widely used popular materials for academic research over the past decade due to the availability of different chemical structures, the versatility of POSS synthesis used in the modification of different polymers or polymer blends, and to support new functional properties. POSS including polymeric blends characteristics are investigated in this review according to the recently published paper in the literature. In addition, using characterization techniques to prove the compatibilization effect of POSS on the polymeric blends such as thermal, morphological, and mechanical tests, the results of these techniques are discussed in this chapter. |
