Research on Health Status of Photovoltaic System Based on Fuzzy C-means Clustering

Popis: With the continuous innovation of technology, it becomes especially important to predict and prevent PV system failure in advance and ensure the reliability of the system operation. By analyzing the aging phenomenon of PV modules and the corresponding changes of PV model parameters, this paper summarizes the three factors that affect the health state of PV system, namely transmittance, series resistance and shunt resistance. A fuzzy algorithm to classify the PV system health status into "Health", "Sub-Health" and "Fault" is proposed. Firstly, the fuzzy C-means (FCM) clustering method is used to obtain the clustering centers of the sample data set of the PV array. Then, the health state is diagnosed by applying the normal distribution membership function. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed method is verified by MATLAB/Simulation.
