Popis: | The patient was a 63-year-old woman who underwent an modified radical mastectomy preserving the pectoralis for a breast carcinoma 21 years before. She noticed a lump in the inside of the resected part. With biopsy under local anesthesia cancer cells were detected. She underwent a local excision. Though previously it was papillary ductal carcinoma, pathological findigns revealed scrrhous carcinoma and texture of the mammary gland in the tissue. It was therefore thought that the breast carcinoma newly arised from the normal mammary gland that was left at the previbus operation, and the remnant might be caused by insufficient production of the flap neiboring the breast bone. |
