Popis: UNBLOCKING of the gate rectifier of the resetting core in self-saturating magnetic amplifier circuits may result in appreciably different response times and gains than would otherwise be expected. It is important to predict and avoid the occurrence of this phenomenon in the design of such circuits. An analytic prediction of this misbehavior of the gate rectifier requires the assumption of an analytic core function and rectifier function. Two core functions are chosen. Core Model A assumes a constant mmf (magnetomotive force) requirement for the resetting core when both cores are unsaturated and another constant mmf requirement for the resetting core after the gating core is saturated. Core Model B assumes a dynamic rectangular BH loop whose width is a constant plus a term proportional to the rate of change of flux. The nature of these core functions is shown in Fig. 1.
