A new traversal approach of SIP through NAT

Popis: Based on the STUN and Full Proxy methods, a new solution of SIP through NAT is proposed in this paper. The basic idea is to write the public network address gotten by STUN server into SDP, then replace the private network address of RTP/RTCP in SDP with the external network IP address and port by means of Full Proxy server, finally try to connect to different addresses according to the priority. No special configuration is required for the existing NAT. The new approach also supports interconnection among all NATs. Experimental results show that this solution works well for all NATs and has a high security.
