Popis:	An efficient synthesis of [Ir(cod)Cl]2(l) from (NH4)2IrCl6 and aqueous isopropanol giving 92% yield is described. l reacts with PMe2Ph to give fac-[IrH(PMe2C6H4) (PMe2Ph)3]. This is the first case of cyclometalation of PMe2Ph.
