Heat capacity measurement of a cadmium fluorochloride glass

Popis: The molar heat capacity temperature dependence of a fluorochloride glass whose composition is Cd0.50Ba0.13Na0.34K0.03Cl0.66F0.97 has a difference of 16 J/mol K between the solid and the liquid. Based on this difference, the liquid is fragile. The Debye temperature, obtained by fitting the calculated heat capacity at constant volume with the Debye curve, is ≈438 K, the corresponding frequency being 304 cm−1.
