Popis: A new type of hollow core photonic crystal fibers (PCF), called chirped PCF, was designed recently. Hollow core of chirped PCF is enclosed by five layers of glass capillaries with increasing diameter. Cross-section of chirped PCF is shown on a fig. 1a. Transmission spectrum of chirped PCF with large hollow core diameter (fig. 1b) is always noted by comb-like form. The scheme implies localizing the reflection of different wavelengths at different layers of internal structure [1–3]. Spectral characteristics of photonic crystal fibers depend on internal geometry of the fiber, but at the same time, it strongly varies concomitantly with fluctuation of refractive index of injected medium. Moreover it is very sensitive to appearance of light absorbers and scatterers in medium, filling the hollow core of PCF.
