Popis: A method for examining the stability of a linear periodic dynamic system with many degrees of freedom is discussed, i.e. a system governed by a set of n-coupled Hill's equations. It is assumed that the periodic terms contain a small parameter e. The method applies the idea of the perturbation method to determination of the characteristics exponents of Floquet's type solutions. An example is shown for the stability test of a spinning satellite in an elliptic orbit. The discussion is confined only to linear homogeneous systems.
