Popis: Precipitation of aluminum by ammonia in the presence of thioglycolic acid provides an accurate method for the determination of aluminum in the presence of moderate amounts of iron (up to 0.25 g Fe2O3) and manganese. Titanium and phosphorus are quantitatively precipitated under the conditions, and aluminum can thus be determined by difference when they are present.
