Popis: | Educational research is usually justified by reference to the expectation that its results will be useful in an important way. Certainly results are the part of research which stimulate the most popular interest. This is hardly surprising; but researchers must not only present their results, they must show how they produced them. The Schools Council project on Children's Reading Habits based at Sheffield University Institute of Education and being carried out by Frank Whitehead, Fred Inglis and myself, has no results to report at the time of writing this article, but we are committed to a broad plan of execution. I should add that opinions expressed are my own and should not necessarily be taken to represent the views of my colleagues. |
