Popis: | Having followed with interest for some time some of the published accounts of work on “Tomography,” by Des Plantes, Vallebona, Grossmann, Chaoul, and others, I was stimulated by Twining's report in the British Journal of Radiology, Vol. x, No. 112, to undertake some practical experiments in this subject, and am publishing the results in the hope that they may be of interest and some value to others in this country who are intending to add this new weapon to their radiographic armamentarium. The general principles of “differential radiography”—to use a term which is comprehensive in view of the many terms already sponsored by different workers in this field are by now well understood and I need not dwell on them here. When I had studied the various methods designed to effect the necessary “blurring-out” of unwanted shadows, several questions immediately arose. 1.
