Popis: The results are presented concerning the study and evaluation of the coal mines ventilation control using the decomposition method based on the analysis data of the aerodynamic parameters of air distribution obtained using application software. Decomposition methods, statistical dynamics, set theory, basic laws of mine aerodynamics, discrete mathematics are described. It is noted that the operational redistribution of air flow rates in the workings of the ventilation network depends on the deviations of the controlled parameters from the technological norms provided for by the current mine safety rules. Universal methodology can be used in the mine workings to analyze and evaluate ventilation processes and related aerodynamic factors, as well as to optimize the air distribution control system in various operating modes considering specific features of the mine ventilation network. Proposed methodology and the application software developed on its basis were adapted at the coal mines of the Russian Federation. It is determined that at the enterprises of the coal industry of Sadkinskoye Mine Management LLC the efficiency improvement is achieved by organizing air supply of lava sections by 20–23 %, and at DONUGLEMASH State Enterprise it is provided by improving the quality of lavas ventilation by 17–20 % and reducing unplanned downtime by 10 %. The real annual effect in JSC SUEK-Kuzbass from the implementation of the developed methodology amounted to 3.15 million rubles. Implementation of the proposed measures will ensure an increase in efficiency, safety, and a reduction in accidents during mining operations at the coal mines.
