Popis: | Removal of persistent dye from water and wastewater is an important area of research for providing safe and clean water to human beings and other needs. Methylene Blue (MB) is a test dye that is commonly used in the textile industry. Remediation of colored industrial effluents by using high-performance graphene-based materials is an emerging approach. The main focus of this study is the catalytic efficiency of synthesized graphene oxide (GO) and coordinated with tricopper cluster composite towards the removal of MB from wastewater. Graphene oxide-copper nanocomposite was prepared using the solvothermal procedure. The morphology and purity of synthesized materials have been studied using various spectroscopic techniques like; UV-DRS, TGA, AFM, FT-IR, SEM and XRD, and the catalyst degraded the color, causing molecules entirely within 30 min. The GO-CuII3Dipey nanocomposite (1 mg) degrades the MB (3.5 ppm) in the presence of NaBH4 (0.05 M) within 30 min with 94% efficiency. Moreover, this catalyst is reusable and stable for five cycles without losing its catalytic degradation performance after 2 hr. |
