Popis: | Pain in the area of the shoulder with radiation into the upper extremity is extraordinarily frequent. Mostly, it is difficult to assign the pain to an anatomic structure. The affected patients suffer obviously. Structural illnesses of the shoulder are to be excluded. However, they are essentially rarer compared to manual-medical syndromes in this region. In the following contribution, manual-medical pain-syndromes of the „shoulder-region” are introduced: The upper, middle and lower syndrome of the upper thoracic aperture and the dorsolateral scapular syndrome. Pain-description is represented, lead- and optional symptoms as well as manual-medical findings. The differential-diagnostics with emphasis of orthopedic and neurological illnesses is elaborated extensively. The proposed syndromes simplifies the clinical examination, offers support for the indication of invasive diagnostic and therapeutic measures and makes an effective therapy-planning possible outside an often practiced polypragmasia. |
