Ten years after the crisis of 2008, the biggest problem facing the more developed capitalist economies is the high indebtedness of the public sector and the private sector. Despite the increase in the exploitation rate and the new technological leap of the fourth industrial revolution, the profit rate of the system did not recover sustainably. The financialization of capitalist wealth did not operate as a counter-trend to the fall in the rate of profit, but merely shifted the contradictions of the system. However, we witnessed at the beginning of the 2020 decade, a probable exhaustion of the strategy of shifting the contradictions of capital. |
