Experiments with various sampling-number sequences in a Monte Carlo solution of the modified PWR cell problem

Popis: Four different techniques for generating quasirandom and semirandom sampling-number sequences are tested in the case of a Monte Carlo solution of the modified PWR cell problem. The results indicate that a reduction of 25…50% in the computing time can be obtained just by the choice of the sampling-number sequences. A standard solution for the right edge scalar flux in the modified PWR cell is given.
