Popis: | Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on analog computation of cardiac dipole location. It presents a lead system developed by Nelson, et al. for determining the three orthogonal magnitude components of the resultant dipole of the in vivo heart. The system consists of a resistor network and is adjusted for different thorax geometries using two ganged potentiometers with output voltages being amplified to usable levels. The chapter presents a system that has been developed using operational amplifiers and multipliers. Input instrumentation amplifiers provide an amplified sum of potentials from appropriate electrodes on the thorax. Potentials are measured relative to a central terminal. The amplified sums are multiplied by voltages proportional to geometrical quantities. These voltages are adjustable for different body sizes and shapes. Multiplier outputs representing positive terms are summed and applied to the positive; input to a differential amplifier; and negative terms are applied to the negative terminal. Online solution for dipole location is possible by means of analog circuits. |
