Popis:	Structure and thermophysical properties of polyalkanimides prepared from pyromellitic dianhydride and aliphatic amines with different number of methylene groups were studied. The length of the aliphatic chain influences substantially the conformation of the polymer chain and its crystal structure, as reflected in the melting temperatures of the polymers.
